♡ Krystryss’s parents used to be infamous pirates back in Limsa Lominsa, operating as a crew that heavily associated themselves with the Morningstar. However, once they were banned from Limsa’s waters, they did not return — even whenDoesmaga did.Krystryss was so disconnected from her parents after the Calamity that she was able to continue living peacefully without them. However, she still had to deal with rumors and turmoil from Limsa’s people in the aftermath. Perhaps you were one of those people who knew of Krystryss’s roots, or even a pirate who saw her a few times around the docks during her teenage years.Even now, Krystryss finds remnants of her past blocking her path. She has been jumped by freed slaves and others out of pure rage for what her parents put them through. She is also recognized by her surname with either respect or disdain by other pirates, despite never being a pirate herself.Krystryss is in the middle ground of wanting to run away from her past, but also accepting that there are things she has seen by her own blood that she can never forget.

♡ Krystryss is what you would consider a classic case of a “tsundere.” Though harmless, she boasts loudly about her abilities, refuses help, and is frequently seen complaining about anything and everything she can.That being said, none of this is derived from ill-will. She came from a home that spat her out, a family never to be seen again, and has been harassed constantly for crimes she was much too young to even think of committing.Krystryss holds up a large, cold wall to others. She is afraid of getting too close to people and has little internal confidence. Think of her as the embodiment of the phrase “all bark, no bite,” because in reality, that is all she is.

♡ In her first years residing within the Black Shroud, Krystryss applied herself as an entry-level interviewer for The Raven. Though hesitant at first, other reporters like Oliver Goodfellow realized the potential a seven-fulm-tall Sea Wolf could bring to the table. Krystryss’s stature alone was enough to pursue stubborn subjects who didn't wish to be interviewed otherwise. After making a reputation for herself as the Roegadyn capable of bringing home the information they needed, it wasn’t difficult for Krystryss to move up a few ranks.Now, Krystryss isn’t often lounging around with a quill at her desk, but is instead investigating the world around her for more dangerous topics. Whether it’s forest poachers or political corruption, she takes her time carefully gathering the intel she needs for The Raven’s next story. Your character may be a possible antagonist she’s scrutinizing, or a bystander she wants a few answers from.

♡ Krystryss is a self-proclaimed pacifist. As a statement against her family history, she despises violence and refuses to use it, even as a last resort. During her move to New Gridania, she also spent some time at Stillglade Fane in an effort to learn Conjury as a protective method for her job.While she isn’t the gentlest of healers, she is not against aiding another when it’s needed. Just expect a splash of grumpiness while she tends to your wounds.

She has a licensed chocobo named Syngirael that she is very, very proud of.Your character may be one of the competitors she gloats over (and/or throws tantrums at), or a chocobo enjoyer in general whom she may show a softer side toward — one that not many people get to see.

Since residing in New Gridania, for example, Mun-Tuy bean products have become one of her favorite delicacies.It will look like she’s uninterested in your meal, but in reality, she wants nothing more than to try everything at least once.

REWORKED ALT / SUBJECT TO CHANGE & WIPPY!A Roegadyn who has journeyed far, far away from her previous life, Krystryss was born into a family once completely dedicated to the Morningstar and its captain. Ever since she was a child, she had seen the worst of Limsa’s underbelly with her own eyes. Human trafficking, assassinations, and black market trading were all commonplace in Krystryss’s childhood—until Admiral Merlwyb won the Trident and began to outlaw piracy and its crimes.Afterward, though her parents fled and Krystryss remained, she felt more disconnected from the world once she regained her freedom. Young as she was, Doesmaga's and her family’s legacy left a bitter taste with Limsa’s residents. Rumors spread, with many believing that the teenage girl ratted out her parents to the Yellowjackets to save her own skin. Others projected their rage and hatred toward the girl, assuming she would be no less violent than her mother and father were.And no matter how many odd jobs or good deeds she succeeded in, it was as if her heritage would haunt her forever. After a few years, Krystryss made her breaking point known, moved out of Limsa Lominsa, and filed papers to transfer over to New Gridania. Spending her youth applying as an interviewer for The Raven, she is now one of their investigative reporters, using her large stature to crack down on cases and gather information ( despite being a self-proclaimed pacifist ).
